Flatbed UV Inkjet Printer

Raster Printers says its new Daytona T600UV flatbed printer is the first wide-format printer to implement the latest M-Class Hex printhead module, based on FUJIFILM Dimatix printhead technology and new variable-drop jetting at 10-, 20-, and 30-pl. The printheads feature two- and three-pulse burst mode firing, which reportedly forms a bigger drop right at the nozzle plate, not during the drop flight, which results in a satellite-free spot. The Daytona T600 features two color modes: standard (CMYKLcLm) and optional (CMYK with White and Varnish). Imaging resolutions range from 360 x 529 to 1080 x 1058 dpi, and print speeds top out at 240 sq ft/hr (22 sq m/hr). The printer uses UV-curable inks and is equipped with a hybrid curing system consisting of one LED-based curing unit and one mercury lamp unit. Other features include a stationary vacuum table with an image area of 48 x 60 in. (1219 x 1524 mm), Core 2 Duo Processor with 2GB of RAM, and Onyx PosterShop RIPCenter software. The T600UV is designed for printing indoor and outdoor graphics onto a variety of substrates, including Fome-Cor, PVC, styrene, corrugated plastic, plywood, MDO, aluminum plastic composite, cardboard, paper, aluminum, acrylic, and glass. It supports a maximum media thickness of 2 in. (50.8 mm).
