Garment Inkjet Printer

Kornit says its new 932D direct-to-garment inkjet printer offers high profitability for small and medium runs of T-shirts. The printer is designed for operation by a single user. It supports a maximum print area of 14 x 18 in. (356 x 457 mm), uses Spectra piezo printheads, and can print CMYK + white inks on up to 100 light shirts/hr and up to 40 dark shirts/hr (assuming an image size of 5 x 11 in., 127 x 279 mm). The printer uses a Windows XP operating system, accepts a variety of file formats (bitmap, TIFF, EPS, JPEG, etc.), and supports resolutions up to 500 x 500 dpi. Cotton, cotton/poly blends, Lycra, Viscose, and other textiles are compatible. Kornit’s recommended accessories include RIPs from Onyx and Wasatch and the Eye-One system from GretagMacbeth.
