Gerber Licenses Technology to Graphtec

Gerber Scientific, Inc. recently granted a patent license to Graphtec Corp., a manufacturer of plotters and printers. It represents the third non-exclusive license Gerber has granted to a Japanese equipment manufacturer for its family of computerized print-to-cut technology patents, based off of US Patent 5,537,135. Financial and other terms of the license agreement were not disclosed.

This action is another example of Gerber’s stated position of allowing other companies access to this family of patents to advance the industry as a whole.” says Marc T.
