Global Imaging Inc., a leading value added reseller and integrator of wide and grand format printing systems, has been named a U.S. distributor of Allied Technology Corporation (ATC) coating equipment, announced Tara Lamb, president of Global Imaging. ATC is an international company headquartered in Maryland with additional sales and service facilities in Asia. It is known for its “Cyclone” coating machines that are the latest advance in coating technology and are produced in the U.S. The company offers three liquid coating machine products that are all available through Global Imaging.
“This piece of equipment is ideal for customers who are looking to increase production offerings and decrease costs,” Lamb said. “The cost of the liquid coating is a fraction of rolled lamination and it is nearly 10 times faster. It also has specialty products and can eliminate cure banding because with the ATC liquid coater, print shops don’t have to run their machines in heavy smoothing mode and gain back 50% of their speed.”
Marc Tischer, sales manager for ATC said, “Global is a leading dealer for high-end printers and cutters and we saw this as a good fit for our state-of-the-art coating machines. In the past most of our distributors only dealt with supplies. Partnering with a well-recognized company like Global gives us access to an expanded customer base as well as a place to inventory and warehouse our equipment in the mid-west region of the U.S.”
Lamb added that ATC’s many years of expertise and innovation in liquid coating technology brings added value to Global’s customers ”This is a natural fit for the many flatbed printers we have placed over the years. We are able to continue to offer cost-saving solutions and workflow efficient options for all our ink and substrates.”
