“While wearable technology is hot, it is – at least for now – more about utility and function,” says GOA President James Martin in a release. “Epson puts a spin on that by using digital technology to create unique, one-of-a-kind designs in a fraction of the time conventional garment manufacturing takes.”
The Miami event follows Digital Couture’s second appearance at New York City Fashion Week. Martin adds that the show’s prominence and the capabilities it displays are no small matter. “The beauty of digital dye-sublimation printing is the accessibility it provides in the design process. Designers can create and produce samples rapidly, allowing for rapid and immediate feedback on the garments once they’ve been printed. This is a game-changer in the exploding garment print segment.”
The event is free for expo registrants but RSVP is required. The three-day GOA Expo takes place February 18-20.
