Graphic-Design Software

Corel has unveiled version 11 of its Corel Painter illustration software. The update brings with it more than 40 new and enhanced features—among them pressure-sensitive brushes, improved drawing tools, and customizable media for the creation of distinct art. Users can create and customize brushes and media variants to their precise specifications. Other new tools include artistic media, hard media brushes, and selection tools. Painter 11 also is designed to extend the capabilities of digital photography programs, such as Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo and Adobe Photoshop. It offers color management and color recognition when importing files from other applications and individual color profiles per document to create greater color accuracy for each file. A complete list of new and enhanced features is available at www.corel.com/painter. Corel Inc., 385 Ravendale Dr., Mountain View, CA 94043, Web: www.corel.com.
