Heat Sensors for Flash Units

Hirsch Int’l (www.hic.us) says its new temperature-sensing option for the company’s quartz flash units takes the guesswork out of setting flash-cure units for the perfect dwell time. According to Hirsch, setting dwell time with adjustable timers requires a trial-and-error method that often results in waste. The sensor reads the temperature of the ink surface and, once the desired temperature is reached, the flash automatically turns off.
