Hybrid UV Inkjet Printer

Azon equipped its new UV JET 1600FB flatbed/roll-to-roll UV inkjet printer with 12 piezo printheads that are configured in two interlacing rows per process color. Azon says each printhead has a shear mode and uses shared wall technology that incorporates low power modulation and acoustic waveforms to deliver low levels of internal mechanical stress. The six-color (CMYKLcLm) UV JET 1600FB can print at resolutions of 300, 600, and 1200 dpi at at speeds ranging from 27 to 103 sq ft/hr (2.5 to 9.6 sq m/hr). It supports media up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) thick and 64 in. (1630 mm) wide. Other features include auto media-feeding and take-up system, front and back tables for rigid media, double-sided and edge-to-edge printing, and more.
