MacDermid Autotype expanded its family of indirect films with Autotype Novaplus, a photopolymer-based indirect film that does not require chemical hardening or warm-water washout. Users simply expose the film, wash it out in cold water, and then adhere it to the mesh. Autotype Novaplus can be used with most solvent-based and UV-curable inks and reportedly gives a high-quality print on medium to fine mesh counts. MacDermid Autotype says screens can withstand run lengths up to 1000 impressions and after printing, the stencil can be decoated using a conventional periodate emulsion stripper.
