Industrial Inkjet System

If your print jobs involve thick substrates, oversized materials, or textile products, the Virtu 36 might be a solution for you. The wide-format industrial inkjet system prints roll-to-roll graphic materials, rigid substrates up to 2.5 in. (63.5 mm) thick, rigid materials up to 8 x 8 ft (2.4 m) and larger, and textile products when used with the DirectUV Print System. The Virtu 36 is equipped with 36 piezo drop-on-demand Spectra printheads, four- or six-color-printing capability, support for 600-dpi resolution, and TypeSense technology designed to print sharp edges and fine detail without compromising speed. When used with the DirectUV UV + Dye Printing System, the Virtu 36 can print directly onto textiles without the need for transfer paper. The printer uses HueV pigmented, UV-curable inks and dyes. The Virtu 36 features XY-axis printing to ensure high quality on backlit or double-sided applications and an air table with a moving vacuum belt designed to facilitate printing on oversized, rigid substrates. The printer also features a cold-curing UV-light system for temperature-sensitive substrates, an integrated, two-step curing process for uncoated textiles, and fully automated media control. The Virtu 36 has a Windows-based operating system and accepts file format supported through 3M GraphicMaker, including PS, EPS, and TIFF, in addition to Onyx Postershop file formats, such as PS, EPS, TIFF, JPEG, PSD, GIF, PCS, and BMP.
