Infrared Dryer

According to Vastex, recent upgrades to the company’s EconoRed I (EC-1) dryer that make the unit an even better value for a start-up shop or operation with limited space. The dryer, which can cure up to 150 shirts/hr, is 5.5 ft  (1.7 m) long, has a 30-inch-wide (762-mm) conveyor belt, and outputs 3500 watts of digitally controlled heat. EconoRed I now feature an upgraded control relay, 50-amp solid state (SSR), that Vastex says provides more reliable service and is ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. Vastex also replaced the dryer’s single line controls with a dual digital control, thereby enabling operators to monitor actual temperature against set temperature to ensure consistent, even heat. Belt-speed control, formerly conveyor mounted, is now at the main control box so that operators can manage the belt and other functions from the same place. Vastex Screen Printing Equipment, 1032 N.
