Inkjet Film for Positives

Opticoat with GO dMax 4 PRO is a new film from Graphics One for generating positives for screen printing. Graphics One says the technology is rooted in a six-level coating process, beginning with a 4-mil polyester base, density primer, absorption layer for dot control, waterproof layer, and microporous coating on the recipient side and an antistatic coating on the reverse side of the film. The technology is designed for use with piezo inkjet printers that use dye or pigment-based inks, and when combined with Wasatch SoftRIP, provides a way for screen printers to produce film positives. The dMax 4 PRO film reportedly offers quick drying, a visual dMax of 4.0, a UV dMax of 3.7, and a dMin of 0.07. The film is available in 100-ft (30.5-m) rolls with widths of 17, 24, and 42 in. (432, 610, and 1067 mm) and sheets in sizes of 8.5 x 11, 11 x 17, and 13 x 18 in. (216 x 279, 279 x 432, and 330 x 457 mm). Graphics One, LLC, 3058 N.
