Inkjet-Printable Film

SIGMAGraF UVjet Anti-Graffiti, the newest addition to MacDermid Autotype’s inkjet-printable films, features a textured, anti-graffiti surface, making the film suitable for printing graphics for walls, doors, and similar applications. “SIGMAGraF UVjet anti-graffiti has a stable ink-primer layer that produces excellent color rendition and image resolution,” says Neil Bolding, business-support manager for MacDermid Autotype. According to Bolding, the film’s UV-cured, hard-coat surface is chemically bonded onto a high-quality, dimensionally stable, polyester-based layer, while its reverse side is primed for use with UV-curable digital inks. The film reportedly maintains high levels of ink adhesion without cracking or pulling apart, even if the surface is bent or used in high heat or humidity settings. MacDermid Autotype says the film resists scratches and abrasions and can be cleaned with conventional detergents and solvents. SIGMAGraF can be laminated to various substrates, including Autotype’s Backstop white opaque backing films, semi-permanent adhesives, or permanent adhesives.
