Inkjets Go Direct-to-Nails

Direct printing onto fingernails is now available thanks to technology from Azon Printer of Zagreb, Croatia. Azon calls it Micro Beauty, but you can call it part of the modern-day manicure.

Micro Beauty is another example of how inkjet technology can redefine itself by adapting to new applications. The system is able to print onto five fingernails at once, and Azon says Micro Beauty can handle a hand a minute at resolutions up to 4800 x 1200 dpi. Users can design their own art and import it via a scanner or use pictures from a digital camera.

Micro Beauty is a tabletop unit at 19.5 x 15 x 14 in. (495 x 380 x 358 mm) in size. It weighs in at approximately 62 lb (28 kg).
Different colors are available to match salon decor, and an attachment is available for direct printing onto toenails. For more information, contact Azon Printer, Jandriceva 20-10000, Zagreb, Croatia, 385-1-461-8003, fax: 385-1-461-8004, Web: www.azonprinter.com.
