The Kentucky Automotive Industry Association (KAIA) has signed on as an association partner of InPrint USA: The Exhibition for Industrial Print Technology taking place April 9-11, 2019 at the newly renovated Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville. The partnership will be a benefit to the association’s members and InPrint USA’s exhibitors by bringing the two parties together to explore how industrial print technologies can provide new solutions for the automotive industry.

Leading automotive manufacturers are already discovering how digital print can revolutionize the printing of automotive components. At the InPrint Industrial Inkjet Conference this past May, Steve Calov from Heidelberg USA presented a case study on Ritzi Automotive and their use of digital print for 3-dimensional and interior parts. The opportunity for automotive manufacturers to adapt quickly to changing customer needs is growing with industrial print solutions.
“There is tremendous potential to use digital print technology to further innovate production and improve operational efficiencies with customized production runs to meet client demand,” said Kevin Jackson, Exhibition Manager, InPrint USA. “The partnership with the KAIA will expose more automotive manufacturers to the possibilities of industrial print.”
InPrint USA is the leading exhibition for new technological breakthroughs across many industrial printing fields, including specialty, screen, digital and inkjet solutions. Exhibitors from around the world will showcase equipment, technology, and services for printing on metal, plastics, foils, textiles, glass, ceramics, woods and other substrates in an individualized and cost-efficient way.
The KAIA was established to advance and promote Kentucky’s automotive industry by providing leadership and creating collaborative partnerships. As an industry-led organization, KAIA is driven by the needs of Kentucky’s expansive automotive network. The association was formed hand-in-hand with Kentucky’s OEMs and suppliers in order to ensure its continued focus on addressing the challenges and opportunities of the industry.
“We are very excited about the partnership with InPrint USA,” said Dave Tatman, Executive Director, KAIA. “It is critical for our members to be aware of new solutions and cutting-edge technology for automotive manufacturing and we are thrilled that InPrint USA is bringing cutting-edge solution providers right to our backyard.”
In the last five years, nearly 6.2 million vehicles were produced in Kentucky and the KAIA is one of the most respected automotive industry associations in the region. Kentucky’s more than 500 automotive-related manufacturing, service and technology establishments, which include five major auto assembly plants, employ nearly 95,000 people.
“Engineered Printing Solutions has a proven track record integrating industrial pad printing and digital inkjet solutions for a wide variety of high-volume decoration of plastic parts and components for the automotive industry,” said Julian Joffe, President/Commercial Services at Engineered Printing Solutions. “We are looking forward to having some great discussions with KAIA’s members at the show.”
