IPC APEX EXPO 2016 will feature Dean Kamen, inventor, entrepreneur and tireless advocate for science and technology, as the opening keynote presenter on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Kamen will present, “Inventions and Innovations.”

On Wednesday, March 16, 2016, Peter Singer, strategist and senior fellow at the New America Foundation, will reveal how science fiction is fast becoming a reality on the battlefield, changing not just how wars are fought, but also the politics, economics, laws and ethics that surround war itself during his presentation, “Inside the Rise of the Warbots.”

Singer is considered one of the world’s leading experts on changes in 21st-century warfare and has consulted for the U.S. military, Defense Intelligence Agency and the FBI. Blending historic evidence with interviews from the field, Singer will enthrall keynote attendees with examples of robotic weapons, and how the robotic revolution will change the laws of war that have governed military conflict for generations.

Keynote presentations are free to all registered IPC APEX EXPO attendees. The IPC APEX EXPO conference and exhibition will run March 15–17. Standards development meetings, professional development courses and other show activities will take place March 12–17. Access to the exhibit hall is free to pre-registrants ($35 on site).
