In its quarterly Sign Industry Quarterly Economic Report, covering the first quarter of 2015 with forecasts through 2016, ISA (www.signs.org) anticipates above-average growth for 2015 and 2016. The report also finds that the outlook for all segments – large-format printers, dynamic digital signage, electric signage, and wayfinding – has improved since the last quarter of 2014.

The report, compiled by IHS and Vandiver Associates and sponsored by the National Association of Sign Supply Distributors (NASSD), analyzes each segment of the market upstream and downstream to allow users to stay current with evolving business conditions, according to ISA.

Among the highlights, IHS forecasts digital signage revenue to account for 15.9 percent of all global out-of-home advertising revenue for 2014 and 16.2 percent in 2015. In addition, retail and food service sales are forecast to grow just 1.8 percent in 2015, but are projected to jump to more than 5 percent in 2016 and 2017.

ISA will discuss the report and its findings in a free WebEx session will be hosted by IHS at 2 p.m. on April 30. Learn more at www.signs.org/webinars. The report is free for ISA, ISA Affiliated Association, and NASSD members. Non-members may purchase it for $1000 per forecast. This research can be accessed at www.signs.org/quarterlyreport.
