Konica Minolta Launches Hybrid Roll-to-Roll Printers
Images corrugated boards, wood, rigid plastics, and textiles up to 1.77 in. thick.
Konica Minolta has unveiled the AccurioWide line of large-format hybrid printers designed for imaging roll-to-roll, flexible roll, and rigid media. The 63-in. AccurioWide 160 is offered in CMYK + white and CMYKcm color configurations, reaching speeds of 678 sq ft/hr in draft mode; the 79-in. AccurioWide 200 features a max. speed of 1119 sq ft/hr, plus CMYKcm + white inks.
The AccurioWide machines leverage UV ink technology and Konica Minolta KM1024i printheads with five print modes and a max. resolution of 1440 x 720 dpi. Compatible materials include corrugated boards, wood, rigid plastics, aluminum, and textiles up to 1.77 in. thick for applications such as signage, fine art, murals, floor graphics, banners, and vehicle graphics; users can opt to add large media tables for printing rigid materials up to 126-in. long (standard with the AccurioWide 200). Additional features include AccurioPro WideDirector software with color management and preflight tools, automated ink refill and monitoring system, ionization bars to remove static buildup, and touch-screen graphic user interface.
