Neschen has expanded its Seal brand of Base laminators with the addition of the Seal 62 Base. Neschen says it’s designed for sign shops and medium-sized graphics producers in need of affordable finishing solutions with professional productivity features. The 62 Base offers heat-assisted, pressure-sensitive finishing up to 61 in. (1549 mm) wide, as well as a low-heat top roller intended to improve lay-down performance for pressure-sensitive materials. The Seal 62 Base is engineered with a lower automatic take-up shaft for removing release liners, digital controls, auto-grip supply shafts, swing-up feed table, adjustable pressure and speed settings, manual nip adjustment, a foot switch, safety systems, and a frame with casters. It supports production speeds up to 16.4 ft/min (5 m/min), and the 62’s roller-nip opening can accommodate substrates up to 2 in. (51 mm) thick.
