Laser Imaging System for Pad Printing

Printex, in partnership with Epilog, has developed a laser imaging system that facilitates direct engraving on photopolymer plates for pad printing. The G2-DTP Laser is based on Epilog’s Mini 24. It can hold objects up to 24 x 12 in. (610 x 305 mm) in size. G2-DTP features Radiance Higher Energy Optics, which Printex says offers the highest quality engraving and mechanics by shaping and refining the CO2 laser beam’s profile. The laser system also incorporates Epilog’s Accupoint motion-control technology: a combination of linear encoders and servo motors designed to deliver precise positioning. Closed-loop DC servo and brushless DC servo motors are built into the X and Y axes to enable operation at fast speeds.
