LexJet Inkjet Cartridge Package Now Recyclable

In its continued commitment to eco-friendly programs, LexJet announces it has developed fully recyclable packaging for its line of remanufactured inks for HP 5000/5500 wide-format inkjet printers. Everything contained in the package—the box, bag, and inkjet cartridge—is recyclable.

“LexJet’s environmental philosophy is rooted in the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle,” says John Lane, LexJet’s vice president. “We also adhere to an additional 3R ethical code regarding the development and presentation of our environmental initiatives and programs—Real, Responsible, and Right. LexJet pursues responsible and practical solutions—like our new recyclable packaging—that actually reduce the industry’s environmental impact, while helping our customers and those who buy and use our customer’s graphics with high-quality, economical solutions.”

According to LexJet, since 2005, the company has recycled more than 100,000 HP 5000/5500 inkjet cartridges. LexJet’s recycling program recently was expanded to include a broader ranger of cartridges for HP, Epson, and Canon printers.

Participants in the HP 5000/5500 ink program receive a $2 credit with each returned cartridge. LexJet says those who recycle any of the other cartridges in LexJet’s expanded Inkjet Cartridge Recycling Program do not receive a credit. LexJet says it will ensure the cartridges and components are properly recycled, reused, or disposed of properly.
