Neschen recently introduced two liquid coaters for digitally printed graphics. AccuCure 60 UV and AccuCure 80 UV offer fully automated liquid coating for prints up to 60 and 80 in. (1524 and 2032 mm) wide, respectively. Neschen says it developed the units for high-volume production and notes that the coaters can operate at speeds up to 110 ft/min (33.5 m/min) and handle flexible and rigid substrates up to 3 in. (76 mm) thick. Coating thickness is variable from 0.3-0.8 mils, and independent roller controls allow adjustment of the coating texture. AccuCure coaters include three supply tanks, pneumatic separator system, and UV dryer. The coaters can be used to finish prints produced by electrostatic devices and inkjets, including solvent, eco-solvent, UV, and dye sub.
