Low-Flammability Polycarbonate

When the application at hand calls for a polycarbonate sheet that is UL 94 V-0 listed and meets FAR 25.283 A and B flammability requirements, consider Makrolon LF from Sheffield Plastics. The low-flammability substrate can be thermoformed, die cut, punched, and sheared. Sheffield says Makrolon LF also is UV stabilized and formulated for excellent optics and improved ductility and reduced brittleness for strength superior to that of float glass and acrylic. Standard clear and custom colors are available in gauges ranging from 0.080-0.250 in. (2.0-6.35 mm). Sheffield Plastics, 119 Salisbury Rd., Sheffield, MA 01257, 800-254-1707, fax: 800-457-3553, Web: www.sheffieldplastics.com.
