MacDermid Autotype Introduces New Product Packaging

MacDermid Autotype, Schaumburg, IL, announced it has become the first major manufacturer of screen-printing films, direct emulsions, and associated chemistry to incorporate specially developed product packaging designed to combat counterfeiting of the company’s products. The new packaging is based on a combination of ultraviolet visible inks and holographic labeling, and is reportedly extremely difficult to reproduce or copy.

The new packaging also was introduced to reflect the recent change in MacDermid’s brand identity, with the “Autotype in a box” logo being phased out as part of a global rebranding programs. All screen-printing films shipped now feature the new product packaging that incorporates high-security labeling with multiple embedded security devices. To help dealers verify that each consignment of screen-printing films comes from MacDermid’s manufacturing center in the UK, the company also will supply special laser pens so that pack labels can be checked at the point of local distribution or use. MacDermid Autotype Inc. is located at 1675 Winnetka Cir., Rolling Meadows, IL 60008, 800-323-0632, Web: www.macdermidautotype.com.
