“ICC profiles are the most important thing that the printer can use to maximize image quality on a particular media,” says Kristi Young, product specialist for MACtac Graphic Products. “Profiles take into consideration the printer model, ink formulation, RIP software, media, and output resolution to create a consistently high-quality image. Any changes to these variables can cause a noticeable difference in the final image.”
