Mild-Solvent Inkjet Printer

Seiko Instruments USA recently added a new 64-in. (1626-mm) mild-solvent inkjet printer to its ColorPainter series. The ColorPainter V-64s is specifically designed for the mid-volume signage and banner-printing market. It supports prints speeds up to 172 sq ft/hr (15.6 sq m/hr) at 720 x 720 dpi and uses a six-color EG-Outdoor EX inkset, formulated for very low odor, quick dry time, wide color gamut, and more. The V-64s features Smart Pass Technology, designed to enhance the beauty of the EG-Outdoor EX ink by eliminating or reducing pass-to-pass banding. A blower unit comes with the printer to support media drying and take-up. It also includes a three-way, independently controlled heater engineered to optimize ink receptiveness on media and ink-drying time, as well as adjustable head height, manual media cutter with media clips, and more.
