Mimaki has unveiled the 128-in. UJV55-320 superwide UV-LED printer, featuring 6 colors + white. The machine’s UV inks are cured immediately, enabling multilayer printing for backlit and double-sided applications. An LED-lit panel on the front of the printer also allows users to check the backlit effect of a graphic as soon as it comes through the machine; the light can be turned on or off for frontlit applications, as well.
Mimaki has unveiled the 128-in. UJV55-320 superwide UV-LED printer, featuring 6 colors + white. The machine’s UV inks are cured immediately, enabling multilayer printing for backlit and double-sided applications. An LED-lit panel on the front of the printer also allows users to check the backlit effect of a graphic as soon as it comes through the machine; the light can be turned on or off for frontlit applications, as well. The UJV55-320 prints up to 1184 sq ft/hr, and can also print simultaneously on two rolls (either the same or different jobs) up to 60-in. wide.
Mimaki reports that the inks are VOC free, scratch resistant, and up to 170% flexible for damage-free folding and handling. Mimaki Circulation Technology for white ink circulates ink to prevent pigment sedimentation, and a Nozzle Check Unit and Recovery System detects, recovers, and replaces clogged nozzles. Additional features include Mimaki Advance Pass System 4; Mimaki Fine Diffusion 1 dithering technique; variable droplet sizes; and waveform control jets. A bulk-ink system stores up to 3 L for each color.
