Mounting Adhesive

Neschen says the company is continuing its commitment to develop earth-friendly products with the introduction of SEAL Eco Mount pressure-sensitive adhesive. Eco Mount is a 1-mil, water-based, polyacrylate, unsupported adhesive that engineered to be recyclable and degradable. It has no carrier film and features a chemistry that Neschen says offers optimum bonding performance while minimizing the impact on paper-recycling streams. Eco-Mount can be used in combination with SEAL Xanita Eco Boards and paper-based printing media to produce an eco-friendly display-graphics solution. The adhesive meets FDA standards for affixing food-packaging labels. Neschen says that Eco-Mount’s manufacturing yields extremely low levels of VOC emissions, it is low mass, and its polymer chemistry allows more efficient screening and removal of its particles when dissolved in solution. The adhesive is self-wound onto a siliconized Kraft paper release liner and is available in 200-ft (61-m) rolls in widths of 38 and 51 in. (965 and 1295 mm).
