Mutoh Adds UV LED Roll-to-Roll Printer
Wide-format machine offers spot varnish and multilayer printing.
Mutoh’s 64-in. 6-color ValueJet VJ-1638UR UV LED roll-to-roll inkjet printer offers a staggered dual printhead design and dual UV lamps for higher productivity. Features include Mutoh’s “Cool Technology” for printing on heat-sensitive media, i-Weave UV intelligent interweave print technology, an automated sheet-off function, ink mist control, automated media registration pin system, a four-zone vacuum table with blowback feature for simple handling and positioning of heavy media, and more.
Compatible with environmentally friendly, VOC-free Mutoh UV LED ink in CKMY + white + varnish, the machine allows for low energy consumption, odorless prints after curing, and the ability to print on transparent and colored media. Three-layer printing mode offers high-density varnish effects; a 5-color mode (CMYK + varnish) is available.
