Mutoh has added the ValueJet 2638X, a 104-in. high-productivity printer configurable with the company’s Eco-Ultra or dye-sublimation inks. The machine features dual staggered printheads and can print at speeds up to 1168 sq ft/hr (360 dpi) or a max. resolution of 1440 dpi.

Eco-Ultra inks are available in 7 colors for applications such as vehicle wraps, wall graphics, banners, decals, and tradeshow signage, while the dye-sublimation option – for creating soft signage, custom apparel, promotional products, and more – offers 8 colors.

The 2638X also features an automatic sheet-cutting function; a media take-up system and roll cradle; and a proprietary Intelligent Interweave printing technique for the elimination of banding.

Software options include Mutoh’s FlexiSign & Print RIP for Eco-Ultra users or an open RIP platform for dye-sublimation users. The machine is also compatible with the ValueJet Status Monitor app for remote monitoring, as well as Mutoh Virtual Storefront for customizable e-commerce.
