Mutoh America, Phoenix, AZ, announced it won the DPI Product of the Year for its ValueJet 1608-64 hybrid printer. The 64-in. printer took top honors in the Rigid Substrate (solvent ink) category, which includes solvent machines capable of printing on rigid materials. A panel of judges anonymously evaluated submissions based on various criteria, including image, color, detail, and tonality. The award-winning image was printed by the ValueJet 1608-64 hybrid printer with Mutoh’s new EPA-recognized MUBIO Inks, on Gilman foamboard, using SAi’s Mutoh Edition 6V2 PhotoPrint Software.

“We are proud to showcase our award-winning work, and extremely thrilled to have won!” says Randy Rickert, general manager of Mutoh America. “The image chosen to print for the DPI competition provided challenging colors and test patterns that highlighted the optimal abilities of the ValueJet 1608-64-in. hybrid printer.”
