NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies announces a new series of sector-specific webinars based on presentations from the ICC DevCon 2014 Conference. The first webinar in the series, "iccMAX Taking Color Management to New Frontiers!", will be held at 11:00 a.m. ET on April 22, 2015. iccMAX is the result of the ICCLabs’ work to enable new ways of communicating about light, color and appearance within color management systems.

The first 2-hour webinar in the series will present:

  • "Making Connections with iccMAX," with Max Derhak, Software Scientist, Onyx Graphics Corp.
  • "Introduction to iccMAX from the Business Perspective" – with William Li, Color Technology Manager, Eastman Kodak Company
  • "Taming Unusual Color Workflows with iccMAX" – with Marti Maria, Color Scientist, Hewlett-Packard
  • "Multi-Processing Elements in iccMAX" – with Phil Green, Professor of Colour Imaging, Gjøvik University College, Norwegian Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory; and, conclude with an interactive Q&A.

ICC DevCon 2014 Conference attendees gained an understanding of the background, as well as the practical application of their iccMAX-based solutions. Now, by incorporating material from those presentations together with current live updates, each of the webinars, that will include one general session followed by targeted sector-specific presentations, will offer this information to a broader industry audience.

Registration for each webinar in the series is $50. Webinar participants will be offered the opportunity to purchase the ICC DevCon 2014 conference video on DVD at the special discount price of $100. The video—which includes all of the technical presentations plus the live Q&A session—will allow those who were unable to attend DevCon to peruse at their convenience the wealth of content that was presented; conference attendees will likewise benefit from recapturing, rediscovering and sharing with their colleagues this information.

For more details about the iccMAX Webinar Series, contact NPES Assistant Director, Standards Programs Debbie Orf at phone: 703/264-7200 or e-mail: dorf@npes.org.
