OKI Acquires Wide-Format Printer Business from Seiko Instruments

OKI Data Corporation has announced an agreement with Seiko Instruments to acquire its wide-format printer divisions, Seiko I Infotech. Driven by a heightened market for on-demand printing, particularly in the retail and distribution industries, the acquisition spans the company’s subsidiaries in Japan, Europe, and the US, and is due to be completed on October 1, 2015. The transaction will reportedly not affect current products and services.
