Pace Industries Inc., an EPA Green Power Partner, recently announced the third increase to its renewable energy purchases. Pace’s initial step into renewable energy was in 2006.

“Although renewable energy comes at a higher price we were hoping to start some momentum among customers, suppliers and employees,” says Blake Pace, president of Pace Industries. “To further develop the viability of alternative energies we need to increase participation by all users. We all know as technology is developed and put in place financial backing – through use – becomes necessary.”

Pace began with a commitment equating to the energy required by 52 homes each year.  With this third and most recent increase, Pace is using alternative energy equivalent to the energy required by 200 homes annually. Pace’s latest increase in alternative energy is based on reducing, reusing, or conserving power.
