Pad-Printing Press

Pad Print Machinery of Vermont (www.padprintmachinery.com) recently unveiled the PE09, a servo-driven, one- or two-color pad printer capable of 3000 cycles/hr. The PE09 is all electric and features touchscreen control to vary the speeds for different inline operations. The dual servo drive runs the pad shuttle and cliche supports separately, enabling all pad and ink-cup operations to be changed, including the downstroke speed and pickup and drop-off pauses. The sys-tem can be configured with a 4.3 x 8.6-in. (110 x 220-mm) oval cup to print larger images.
