Enercon recently expanded its line of surface-treatment solutions with the addition of the Dyne-A-Mite IT C02 Plasma. The system uses gas and/or liquid-phase carbon dioxide with atmospheric plasma discharge to clean and prep substrate surfaces by removing micron and submicron particulates and hydrocarbon-based contaminations on plastics and metals. Enercon says the combination of CO2 with atmospheric plasma ion bombardment discharges significantly increases the surface tension of base substrates and improves bonding strength of adhesives. Dyne-A-Mite IT C02 Plasma may be used for either initial or final cleaning, and for numerous critical and non-critical cleaning applications in a variety of industries.
