MacDermid Autotype engineered its new Autotex XE film to offer increased resistance to UV, yellowing, premature again, high humidity, and more in graphic overlays. The film consists of a base polyester and a chemically bonded, UV-cured texture coating that MacDermid Autotype says is chemical, abrasion, and scratch resistant with a long flex life. Autotex XE may be used in applications such as membrane-switch overlays, fascia panels, signage, nameplates, and labels/product markings. It’s available in Fine and Velvet textures on the first surface, with an ink-receptive second surface that MacDermid Autotype notes is designed to provide excellent adhesion properties for screen-printing inks.
