Nur’s newest version of its PrinTop software is designed to give users more control over the production workflow, reduce waste and errors, and provide more information about ongoing processes. PrinTop II software is designated for use with Nur Tempo and Expedio wide-format inkjet presses and features a graphic user interface with a single window that provides access to all common production operations, including job control, press status, printhead controls, substrate motion, tool tips, and other information. Other features include job-editing capabilities while printing, job-storage folder with sort and filter tools, and smart job tickets that give users a single gateway to all printing features and post-RIP production tools. The Print Manager screen allows users to access information about system configuration, color mode, ink-tank levels, printhead status, errors, and messages. Users can change the number of copies after a job has started printing to accommodate last-minute changes. The “what you see is what you get” preview includes a progress indicator and shows status of tiling and step-and-repeat operations, a guided operation for review and assessment of motion control, substrate and ink management, and calibration. Through the report-generator module, users can create custom reports for business owners to monitor their profit per customer, assess actual costs per job, determine production efficiency, and more. PrinTop II software is included with all Nur Tempo and Expedio printers. Current Tempo and Expedio users can purchase an upgrade to PrinTop II.
