Professional Decal Application Association to Merge into SGIA

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has announced that it will absorb the Professional Decal Application Association (PDAA) in a merger designed to expand the latter group’s services, support, and business opportunities. PDAA, an association of graphic installers, will become SGIA’s Professional Decal Application Alliance.

PDAA was founded in 1976 and consists of leading US graphic installation and wrap companies. The group works toward developing mutually beneficial relationships with vinyl manufacturers and others involved in the vinyl graphics industry.

PDAA members will gain a number of new services from the merger. These include business management information, marketing resources, employment listings, work-safety information, an expanded referral network, expanded applications gallery, and access to SGIA’s entire membership base. As part of SGIA, PDAA also will see its well established certification program continue with a focus on unbiased training and certification.

“This is an exciting time for both PDAA and SGIA communities,” say Mike Robertson, president and CEO of SGIA. “While PDAA members will gain extensive resources and market opportunities, SGIA graphic printers are able to connect with certified installers to grow their businesses.”

SGIA will place emphasis on growing PDAA membership and helping installers maximize their opportunities. The association is encouraging independent installers, as well as in-house installers who work for graphics printing companies, to participate in PDAA. A discounted membership will be available to those companies involved in both SGIA and PDAA. For more information, contact SGIA, 10015 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22031-3489, 703-385-1335, Web: www.sgia.org/about_SGIA/pdaa.cfm.
