Screen Printer Acquires Sports-Focused Print Shop

Red Threads Print House (Midland, MI), a full-service screen shop, has purchased the nearby Hanley’s Custom Sports, Daily Midland News reports.

Red Threads will move its customer service and design staff into Hanley’s old storefront, which will be remodeled, shop owner Josiah Blackmore told the paper. Manufacturing will be hosted at another building that has more capacity for equipment and staff.

Blackmore’s long-term plan for his shop is to have 90% of his business come from around the country but to maintain a “strong presence here in Midland, our home.”

Terry Hanley built his business for 14 years before making the decision to sell. “I’m ready to do this, ready to move on and try some new things. It’s been a long, fun ride. I’ve met and worked with a lot of good people. I can’t thank all my customers and friends enough for all their support through the years,” he told the outlet.
