Ricoh has launched the Ri 3000 and Ri 6000 direct-to-garment inkjet printers. Offering 6 and 12 ink channels, respectively, the printers leverage Anajet inks for imaging on a range of textiles including shirts, socks, canvas bags, 100% light-colored polyester garments, and 50% dark-colored polyester garments. Laser-assisted automatic table height adjustment up to 2.3 in. enables printing on hoodies with zippers and more; users can also add platens for imaging hats, sleeves, and youth sizes. Ricoh reports the Ri 6000 can print a 12 x 10-in.

Ricoh reports the Ri 6000 can print a 12 x 10-in. graphic on a light garment in 27 sec; the Ri 3000 prints the same in 51 sec. Max. resolution is 600 x 600 dpi.
Additional features include an automatic ink circulation system for white ink channels, a closed-loop ink delivery system, and AnaRip software that displays a preview of the graphic directly in the printer’s console. Other features include automatic ink maintenance, automatic printhead cleaning, and a power purge system.
Ricoh reports the printers will be sold via its subsidiary AnaJet, with limited availability in Ricoh sales channels.
