Roland’s New Benchtop UV Flatbeds

Roland has added the VersaUV LEF-200 to its line of benchtop UV flatbed printers. The 20-in. machine is designed for applications including souvenirs, giftware, trophies, electronic items, packaging, signage, and other 3D objects up to 3.94 in. thick. It prints in CMYK + white + gloss; users can elect to add a new on-board primer in place of gloss said to streamline the printing of substrates such as acrylic and plastics, or to use a dual-white configuration.

Roland has added the VersaUV LEF-200 to its line of benchtop UV flatbed printers. The 20-in. machine is designed for applications including souvenirs, giftware, trophies, electronic items, packaging, signage, and other 3D objects up to 3.94 in. thick. It prints in CMYK + white + gloss; users can elect to add a new on-board primer in place of gloss said to streamline the printing of substrates such as acrylic and plastics, or to use a dual-white configuration. Users can print spot gloss or matte coats as well as create embossing effects.

The company has also revealed a new generation of its 12-in. benchtop printer, the VersaUV LEF-12i flatbed.

Both machines include Roland’s VersaWorks Dual RIP software, with features for programming spot colors, handling PDF and PostScript files, and managing such features as rotation and registration directly from the RIP.
