Scan-to-Print Software

Contex incorporated additional driver support into version 6.3.2 of its JETimage scan-to-print software for black-and-white imaging. It can now be used with Canon iPF 500, 600, 700, 5000, 8000, and 9000 printers, as well as the HP Designjet Z-2100 and Z-3100, Mutoh’s RJ-900C and RJ-901C printers, the Xerox 6204, and the Canon W8400PG. “This version of JETimage delivers to our customers an even more powerful scan-to-print solution for a Contex scanner, wide-format printer combination in the repro, CAD/GIS, and graphic-arts markets,” says Thomas Weldingh, Context’s executive VP of sales and marketing. The new version also supports Contex’s closed-loop color calibration, which is designed to ensure color consistency with color-matching data stored in predefined media profiles for the printer. Contex says its RIP rendering allows users to match ink level and gray balance to the printer and media, whether the substrate is photo gloss, canvas, or matte.
