SGIA announced the winners of the annual Tom Frecska Student Printing Competition at the 2015 SGIA Expo earlier this month. The contest, named for the late editor of Screen Printing, recognizes secondary and post-secondary students working across more than 25 printing categories.
The best of show winner at the secondary level was Jade Ochoa with her digital “Most Wanted Poster.” Ochoa studies at Eagle Rock High School under instructor Glenn Laird.

The post-secondary best of show winner was “Screen Print Sample” by Khake Pawan, Kharat Shubham, and Khade Ashok, who competed in the unique applications, single/multicolor category. The trio studies at PVG’s College of Engineering & Technology under Laxmi D. Sapkal.
