SGIA has announced 51 companies as 2016 Safety Recognition recipients. Organizations enrolled in the Annual Safety Recognition Program conduct bimonthly facility inspections using a checklist from SGIA in order to encourage safe working environments. Under SGIA’s guidance, the yearlong program also requires participants to update or establish an organizational safety plan, focusing on the areas of written safety policy, worker participation program, workplace review, education, and program evaluation.
