SGP Partnership Certification Gains Momentum

Loveland, OH-based Sustainable Green Printing Partnership recently certified three new partners: Minuteman Press of Lawrence, KS; Consolidated Printing of Chicago, IL; and Alcom of Harleysville, PA. SGP reports a steady flow of applications for certification since its inception from facilities wanting formal recognition for their sustainability efforts. According to SGP, more than 50 applications are working through the certification process.

Loveland, OH-based Sustainable Green Printing Partnership recently certified three new partners: Minuteman Press of Lawrence, KS; Consolidated Printing of Chicago, IL; and Alcom of Harleysville, PA. SGP reports a steady flow of applications for certification since its inception from facilities wanting formal recognition for their sustainability efforts. According to SGP, more than 50 applications are working through the certification process.

Minuteman Press of Lawrence, KS has received community recognition for quality, ethics, giving, and volunteering. In addition to its certification as an SGP Printer, the facility is also a small business, certified by the state of Kansas as a Women Business Enterprise and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. The company handles products ranging from stationery to on-demand color printing.

Alcom provides integrated solutions for print, direct-mail marketing, and business development. The company specializes in cross-media marketing and variable-data communications. Alcom uses large-format sheetfed presses, European-sized cold-set webs and, and digital presses.

Consolidated Printing is a commercial printing company that has focused its efforts on eliminating hazardous chemicals from its operations. Consolidated’s prepress department uses computer-to-plate technology and its printing presses are wind-powered. Its digital equipment is fuser-oil free with same-size toner.
