Software Driver for HP Designjet 8000s Printer

Onyx Graphics now offers support for the HP Designjet 8000s printer. The software driver is available for all Onyx version 7.0 workflow-solution software products, including ProductionHouse, PosterShop, and RipCenter. Some features include PANTONE spot-color matching, contour-cutting workflow, and job nesting. The Onyx driver also includes support for HP Designjet 8000s features such as printer resolutions of 720 x 720, 540 x 720, and 360 x 360 dpi and various ink configurations, including CMYK and CMYKLcLm. The driver also supports heater settings for front, print, and rear; print direction; cutter; media-feed length and media-feed adjust; and mode select. Additional support includes bi-directional communication for error handling and pre-print warning displays. The Onyx driver includes color profiles for all HP media for the Designjet 8000s. Onyx says that additional third-party profiles from media providers such as Avery, Kapco, and Océ will be available on the Onyx Website at www.onyxgfx.com. Onyx Graphics, 6915 S.
