Solvent Inkjet Printer

Mutoh says a combination of its X-Rail design and new piezo printhead technology enables its ValueJet to provide exceptional image quality and best-in-class print speeds at a low price. The wide-format solvent inkjet printer has a total of 1440 printhead nozzles and uses variable-dot technology to print at 360, 540, 720, and 1440 dpi and uses Mutoh’s Eco-Ultra inks, which are formulated to last up to three years outdoors without lamination. The ValueJet can print at speeds up to 100 sq ft/hr (9.3 m/hr) at 720 dpi on media up to 51 in. (1295 mm) wide. It offers users 10 print modes, including a 540 x 720-dpi mode that Mutoh says is perfect for banners, and the company notes that a proprietary printing technique reduces banding typically associated with bi-directional printing.
