Solvent Inkjet Printers

Matan Digital Printers recently unvelied its Barak line of hybrid UV inkjet printers in 11.4- and 16-ft-wide (3.5- and 5-m) configurations. Barak uses printhead technology that supports 30-pldrop sizes and is designed to consume ink at up to 1940 sq ft/l (180 sq m/l) on average and print at speeds of more than 1830 sq ft/hr (170 sq m/hr). The printer accommodates coated and uncoated flexible or rigid materials, and its optional multi-roll feature enables the Barak to print simultaneously on up to three rolls. The 3.5- and 5-m printers accept media up to 134 and 209 in. (3404 and 5309 mm) and support maximum imaging widths of 126 and 197 in. (3200 and 5004 mm), respectively. Both use a dedicated Barak RIP, which supports file formats such as EPS, PS3, TIF, PDF, PSD, and JPEG.
