Sefar designed its new LDS (Laser Direct Stencil System) to bring precision and repeatability to small-format screen-printing applications. LDS offers resolutions of 1700-2400 dpi and is available in two configurations. LDS 1330 supports a maximum screen size of 15.5 x 17.5 in. (394 x 445 mm) and is intended for use in the optical-disc market. LDS 4060 supports a maximum screen size of 25.5 x 27.5 in. (648 x 699 mm). Both systems can remove several steps from the prepress process and reduce costs associated with the use of conventional films. Sefar Printing Solutions Inc., 120 Mt. Holly By-Pass, PO Box 679, Lumberton, NJ 08048, 609-613-5000, fax: 609-267-1750, Web: www.sefar.us.
